Hey there guys, i was wondering if i could actually hook up an amp to my factory deck on my 2006 Ranger. i was figuring on running wires from my 2 rear speakers into a crossover and then to my amp. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
The easiest way would probably be to acquire a Line Output converter. Most all autosupply stores (carrying radios) should have it so should Wally World, Crutchfield, car stereo sales/install establishments. I would expect to spend 12-20bux on a decent converter. I think Crutchfield was showing a 4channel one for like 19 or 20bux.
The convertor is good b/c it will reduce the incoming signal-levels to a compatible level for the pre-amp inputs on the amplifier. I know some people that have tried it w/out this convertor to only get a bad warble/ distortion to come out.
