Stereo System

What are you guy's running in the way of a deck and system? I have already upgraded my front speakers to a set of Infinnity 6x8's. I have 2- 2 channel Alpine 100w amps (not installed). I was thinking of upgrading my deck, then adding some mild sub. I bought an Inffinity powered encloser, but it wouldn't fit behind the seat.

Like you, I replaced the front speakers and added a Kenwood head unit with 2 10" subs powered by a Kenwood (I think) amp.

Best pic I have of the head unit.

was thinking of buying this deck JVC KD-HDR50 CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

Then adding some bass later. What do you guy's think of JVC decks? I liked the fact that you could plug in a zip drive into the face because I don't have an MP3 player.

Well, I went ahead and ordered that reciever. Now I need to find a good woofer to complimant it. Welcome to all recomendations. I was looking at a Polk Audio 10", I think that would give me the right amount of bass for "Hillbilly Deluxe".

I have a Dual deck with 4 kicker 6x8's and one morphius 10" under the back seat power by a cheap amp. If the amp wasnt a pita it would be the perfect system.

Heres my deck: Its a dual with HD, MP3, USB and an aux. jack. And it has integrated blue tooth.

That looks great. I wasn't sure about Dual, so I bought one for my Klamath to try out, and so far so good. Thanks for posting.

SHOOOOOOTTTTTT I wish I would have known that before I ordered the JVC unit!! Oh well, I'm thinking of taking the Infinity sub encloser and making a custom unit for my truck. Just swap there amp and all into something that will work in my truck. What say you?

I have a Kenwood DNX-7100 in the dash. It fits with only a tiny bit of minor trimming of the dash bezel.

For subs I have a single JL 10w3 in a box behind the CC seat. It's tight, but it fits back there. Amazingly, I bought the box at Best Buy and it fit perfectly.

The amp is a Kenwood. I forget the model but it pushes about 1000w, and I think handles around 600w RMS, so it has plenty of punch for that JL.

I know youi have already purchased the Inifnity enclosure but I just went to a local stereo shop and bought two 10" enclusures for $40 a piece and they fit great. I think I could have bought one enclosure with a place for two 10" subs for cheaper though.

Here's my head unit. It's a Sony 4210IP with Ipod controls. I like it because it can charge the Ipod as well using a cable out of the back of the unit. I have Pioneer 2-way 6.5's in the front doors and Pioneer 6x8's in the rear with a Sony Xpoid amp (don't remember the watts) under my front jump seat powering a RCA 8" sub in a homemade box. I just have a pic of the head unit.

Im working on the idea of building a custom box for behind the back seat. There isnt much room since i have an extended cab, but i went and looked/listened to some of these and they are amazing.
