Alright Dewayne, I've been very patient. Isn't it about time for you to come home from the "big sandbox." I appreciate that while you were away, you tried to chime in from time to time but it was obvious that you had some distractions over there. I, for one, would like to see another round of flames on your truck. (Practice makes perfect) When are you coming home to the good old US of A? Jag
He was home on leave right before the nats. I got an email from him saying he had just got back to the sand box. It will be good to have him back, but I for one am damn proud of him for handling that crab over there before it moves over here. Here is to all the guys defending my butt. Thank You
I think Fenders turned into a Lurker or a Stalker while over there. He's one that likes to jump on the subject while it's going on, not have to wait hours or days to get his $.02 in.
If your trying to keep time on his return, most of the deplotments are 1 year + Pre-deployment training.
Dewayne, Thank You and and Your Family for your sacrifices.
It's funny this post came up. At times I go through all the posts and there isn't much of interest on the site. In fact, it's gotten pretty boring at times. No offense!. It wasn't that way a while back. This site was really informative, fun and a great place to just hangout for a while. I do miss hearing from some of the old posters like Fatfenders, Earl, and so many others who brought a lot of good info to this site. I still think about them on occasions. So, where did all the old timers go?
I to miss is wit. He was like a leader on this forum. I agree the forum is kinda boring anymore.I can't realy say why but the info exchange and tech talk is not hear anymore. Maybe it's me just getting a few years older.

We still have a slough of well informed, experienced truck guys around. What we need are some more projects. And with projects come discussions and problems. It's spring and it's time for the winter excuses to go away. It's time for building, cutting, sanding, bending, straitening, and tuning to commence. GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES. Jag
You expert truck guys may be bored, but I've learned more about old trucks on this site in the last month than I've ever known. You guys may be boring each other, but keep your heads up because you're still invaluable to guys like me. Awwww!
It would be nice if we could do something for 'Fenders when he gets back for good.
Of course, it will have to be somewhere where he couldn't find it. How about buried in the middle of a Chevy truck forum?
Ref forum boring: it seems like all of these cycle through boring stretches...after all, how many questions can you ax about the same trucks? Also, with the many tech articles, and people (like myself) finally using the search features, you can see where the number of threads would drop off.
theGman may be right. I haven't seen anybody asking about putting their 56 body on a 99 Toyota frame in months. Maybe more people are actually using the search function. And I like the idea of a welcome home party for Dewayne. I volunteer Niolin's house. We can put that cow BBQ to good use. Jag
