I bought a Flashpaq 1805 for my '06 but am leery of installing it due to the coolant loss problems caused by some of the other tuners. My intention was to use it for towing but I going to wait until I hear some reports from the field.
The files in that tuner have been tested for literally years now.
Vic - You mention being able to adjust for tire size using the flashpaq on a diesel. I was trying to find a tuner that would do this a couple months ago and was told by someone at SCT that none of the tuners will on a diesel. Have they made some changes in the last couple months? Will the X-calibrator 2 be able to do this as well. Thanks for your help and informative posts.

SCT and the Xcalibratorhas nothing to do with Superchips Inc and the Flashpaq, they are separate companies with separate product lines.
The Superchips Inc Flashpaq is "new" compared to other tuners and does in fact offer gear/tire corrections on the 6.0L diesel.
This has been available for a few months now.
Thanks for your reply. I just wanted to make sure. I figured if one had the capability the other would be closely behind wether it be SCT (the one I am interested in) or any other company.
I am looking at purchasing a tuner strictly for when I tow my 11,000lb fifthwheel. If that is all that I want to do is reprogram for towing is the standard max tuner the way to go?

If you aren't gonna get crazy with some new tires and gears, it's exactly what you need.
Vic/ALL - thanks a bunch for your input and expertise. I received my microtuner (1704A) and installed to the economy setting. Wow...what a difference. I need to install the performance just to see what it will do. Well worth the money!
