I think Steve Martin did a movie call "The Jerk" back in 1979 that involved something along this line.

It kind of makes me cringe, but, on the bright side the guy will never sit on his glasses or have them fall off when he gets sweaty. Though I imagine a punch to the face might be pretty brutal.
