Where I can I find wiring diagrams for a 1968 F250 2wd? My grandparents just gave it to me, and the wiring is a mess. Also, the brake fluid is leaking somewhere, but I cannot find where. I have traced and retraced all the lines, and checked all the wheel cylinders, and everything. The brake fluid is just disappearing mysteriously, but where??? Thanks!
Hi Oddball, for the wiring diagrams I have a Haynes Ford Pickups & Bronco manual #36054 [788]. I bought it at the local parts store and it has a full detailed wiring diagram for 1973 to 1979. I use the 73 diagram for my 71 & 72 as there were only a few diffrences in these years. I could not find a book for 67 to 72 ford trucks so if you find one let me know, thanks.
bowties in the rearview mirror
PS.every time I have lost brake fluid and could not see where it went it was always the master cylinder that was bad. The fluid collects in the boot until it can hold no more then spits it all over your foot.
Johnson's Auto Literature, 92 Blandin Dr., Framingham MA 01701 has a complete set of diagrams for your truck. The ones I got in 08/00 for $35.00 + 5.50 shipping are original FoMoCo diagrams. They show all the harnesses, connectors and wire colors and are divided up by systems. He's got, or at least had, a web site but I don't have the ULR off hand.
Can the MS leak into the power booster? One of the "Puzzlers" the Car Talk guys had once was about that.
