I've have a 78 F250 4WD (Ranger XLT, extended cab, long bed). It has a 429 with automatic trans. I haven't been able to find casting #s (needs to be cleaned up). Anybody know what the tranny and transfer case would be in this model. Thanks

Reason: remove parting out notice
F-250s never came with a 429. You either have a Frankenstein like Eric says or the PO had no idea what was in it, and a 429 sounds cool to a prospective buyer.
On further investigation it is a frankentruck. VIN shows it should be a 351 2V but this is not a 351 in it. Air cleaner says 429 4V, but haven't seen the casting # yet.
The Transmission pan has 17 bolts and the S-94A is the only marking I can see on it. Thanks for the help.
