Distributor trigger ?
The spring clip under the felt lubricant reservoir can be removed with some needle nose pliers if you are careful. Grasp one upright wire and "peel" it out of it's groove. The spring clip retains the "weight cam" or sleeve and plate assy onto the distributor shaft. There is a bronze bushing between the shaft and the sleeve that is lubricated by the felt pad.
Some specs if you need them:

I have a ton of info from here and other sources saved as a file. Sometimes I have been tempted to organize and edit it better and post it as a tech paper.
I am not sure how legal it would be tho. I have attempted to preserve the sources but some of the info is edited for clarity or my own notes added etc.
