I want a flat bed!
My truck is now up and running, it started as a junker in this old guys back yard. It had sat for a year, used to be driven every day by the old man who ran a concrete company and to say the least he did not care for the truck even though he bought it new in '89. Its a long bed single cab 4x4 with a 5.8w and a c6, I had to replace the motor, junk the bed, the cab is primered and the motor is running with a new flowmaster true dual system on it (it sounds killer!). I dont really want to shell out 500$ for a dual tank long bed and have to sand and paint it. I bought the truck to rebuild my firtst ford and I plan on working out of it on the weekends. I know it is not a heavy duty truck but I do plan on pulling up to its limit and squeezing out some real work. I love the truck as I have always had an affinity for older 4x4 fords, the point is I cannot find any websites that deal with flatbeds, I thought about building one but I want to check some out on the net and get some ideas. I know they are definately more than 500$ though so I plan on doing some serious research. Thanks for any thoughts on the bed situation and any ideas about making the truck more work friendly would be greatly appreciated.

I have a flat bed for sale...?
I dont know what area you are from, but im from madison wisconsin area. I have a 7' X10' steel flatbed off of a 1985 ford 1 ton dually with a diesel i would sell you for $500.00. It is just a plain diamond tread top with a 5th wheel ball hitch in it. If your interested in this, drop me a email at lyndonff@yahoo.com.
