I just got my copy of four wheeler mag yesterday, and in it, there was an article on the bronco revival. The concept bronco was indeed a hoax, the new bronco will look like the concept, but have SLA front suspension, soild rear axle, a hose it out interior, lever operated t-case, and removable top. QUOTE: lIKE THE ORIGINAL, WOULD FOCUS ON FOUR-WHEELABILITY, AND AFFORDABILITY, WHILE ESCHEWING THE LUXURY APPOINTMENTS FOR BACK TO BASICS, RUGGED TRANSPERTATION. Ford is wanting a share of the wrangler market, the mag sugests we send e-mails to ford to let them know how much we would desire such a vehicle, it's part of the way forward plan, lets give them alittle push. No engine offerings were mentioned, the concept had a diesel, that would work for a start, then the 4.0, or 3.5 v-6, and top it off with the 4.6 v-8, what do you guys think?
When I saw that the concept was front wheel drive, I thought ford was screwing with our heads, they have enough poser 4x4's on the market. We need an honest to goodness 4x4 to compete with the wrangler. Ford owns a big share in international, now there is a rumor that thier going to bring the scout back, the news just keeps getting better.
The real bronco won't be a front wheel drive like the concept, the concept was just a smoke screen to throw the others off. What ford really has in mind is to compete with the jeep wrangler, even down to the removable top.
