No more of that! I had some weird dreams during my nap yesterday but everything seemed fairly normal (fairly decent actually). Went ahead and took the 2nd dose last night, never had such dreams before! I don't think I slept for more than 45 min. in a row the whole night, sometimes no more than 20. It seemed like I would start to dream as soon as I drifted off, I remembered them all and after waking it was hard to destinguish reality from dream memory. Some minor hallucinations also with my eyes closed between sleep...
You could pay me to take it again, but it'd have to be a whole lot. More than the $70 it cost me to try.
I couldn't get ahold of my doc so I went to see the pharmacist, she told me I should probably stop as she'd never heard of such a reaction and that it shouldn't even be working yet. I finally spoke with my doc. just now and he said the exact same thing and that, even if I didn't need it, I shouldn't have had such a reaction. He also offered me some Zoloft samples to try in a couple days, I'm not so sure I want them. I'd probably try some Valium, but that hasn't been offered and I don't feel comfortable just asking for it.
I still feel pretty weird, I can see how you wouldn't want to abuse this drug.
BTW I was using half a 15mg. tablet for each dose. I've researched everything I've eaten/drunk in the last couple days to see if it would interfere.
Ask your doctor for the Valium, or Clorazepate, which is what I take in a 7.5mg tablet once a day. Both are similar medications in the same family. You should not have any adverse reactions with either of these, as they are mild, and have both been around for a long time. Clorazepate is the generic name for Tranxene, and is fairly inexpensive.
I never feel weird or dizzy, or anything odd when taking my med. The first time I ever took it I was in the middle of a panic attack, and I settled down and felt the best I had in ages. I went home later and slept like a baby.
Sometimes you have to insist with doctors to get them to give you something. The Feds are looking over their shoulders when it comes to controlled medications, so they err on the side of caution by trying other things first.
I think I will try a few acupuncture sessions before I try any more drugs. It seems most western medicine causes as many things as it cures, especially with me. The only other thing I've had prescribed in the last few years has been Tamiflu and I felt like I'd been poisoned then too.
Even if the acupunture doesn't work, I probably won't be any worse off other than some $$. I can't say I "believe" in it, but it's helped a few friends with weird problems.
Update, a couple weeks ago I discovered something. I was still having the electrical sensations and numb toes, by chance I found that if I sat in a chair just right and tilted my head backward I would get either a pop or a weird grinding slip that would make it go away. Weird.
Since then I've been doing some upper body excersises to help and paying more attention to my posture. Seems to have helped. Though they still come back once in a while, I can make them go away instantly. I've had people tell me this could be a sign of something bad...
Getting a new computer desk and chair tomorrow, I've got a weird set-up now that in not helping my posture situation.
I've also been on a diet for the last couple days to help with my eyes, hasn't helped much. I do think it's safe to say this is a coincidence that these two things happened together.
tdister, it kinda sounds like improper sitting posture could be one reason why your toes may be numbing. Lower back problems can effect lower extremities.
Not sure if diet has a big effect on eyes. I guess it could.
