Fuel Problems

Yes, when i start my truck it takes a few cranks before it will fire but when i go to hit the gas it quit and then i pump the gas and it will start up and it keeps doing it. i changed the fuel filter and had a fresh tank of gas in it. what could be the problem

What year? Fuel injected or carb? What engine do you have?

alil but sometimes u hit the gas and it trys to die out but let off of the gas and it catches itself i guess and keeps running. could it be i need to have a tune-up or something.

It sounds like the accel pump isn't quite doing it's job. Try moving the rod that actuates it up one or two holes on the arm. The rod is that one that goes from the linkage to the front of the fuel bowl.
