Carb choice.....................

I have a 79 f-250 Trailer Specail,460/c6,RV cam ported D9 heads.I use it mostly for towing.I'am looking at a Edelbrock carb, either the 600 or the 750.Which would be better to fit my need?
Thanks

The 750 would probably be a better choice for your truck.

I run the 750 myself. The 600 will probably offer a little better throttle response and low end torque and the 750 will give more on the top end.

for towing i woudl run the 600, it will give you better throttle response and low end, the top end hp difference will be marginal

how large is the cam, how much porting?

idealy 650 cfm would be plenty for you

And the heads were gasket mached, intake was bowl blended, exhaust had the hump out plus some. The guy did a very nice jog on them
