Well my truck sits at the dealer since Friday waiting for a new turbo.
How long should it take to get a new one ??.
Service rep says ford doesn't have any in stock and doesn't know how
long before he gets one
Gee i only have 17000 miles on my 2005 nov 04 built F350 6.0.

Could be worse, mine went out at 600 miles (actually driving off the lot when I bought it). Took 3 days to get the turbo. EGR went out at about 1000 miles. No problems since, but only 3200 miles so far.

Sorry about that. I see you posted that in another thread. I bet you are typed out. Thanks anyway. BTW do you have the original motor in your truck. Maxium 4x4.
both of our 6.0's (one a 2004 with about 1000 miles on new engine, one a 2006 with 3000 miles, both received the "updated" turbocharger, and are good to go now. until something elses breaks.
Hey Strokin what could go wrong? Just keep that cam position sensor handy for your 7.3L.... I always kept one in my glove box just in case, but now I don't.
Thanks vloney
Now they say it has an oil leak under the hood somewhere and have to order a new part and should be in monday. What did they BREAK now, I'm going to pick it up at noon monday.
just replacing a turbo shouldnt break anything. You have the o'rings on the return pipe, and the high pressure feed line. unless someone broke one of those, no excuses
