Turned 150k

My 99 just turned 150k, still running strong.
I was going to trade this year, but am still too attached.
I'm going to get the leather seats reworked (any ideas on an inexpensive way?) and drive it for another year or two.
Happy Driving.

TC

Keep it up. I have a 98 xlt 4.6L with over 210K. I keep looking at new vehicles, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of her. Still running as smooth as ever.

Same here, every time I look at a Navigator or Expedition and the sticker price for an equivalent setup - I come close to hurling.

I have added remote start, LDC displays and bluetooth handsfree and would be unhappy with anything less!

Holy Cow guys! You all just made my day! I have a 2001 'vanilla' Expedition that only has 51,000 miles and one more payment! Good to see that I have a lot of years left!

I've thought about a supercharger. How do you like yours? Noticable difference? Expensive? Mine's only a 4.6 and I've got over 210K.

Supercharger is the mod that I wish I had done right when I got the truck. That, and gears.

I expected too much from - and paid too much for - other mods that should have gone into the blower in the first place.

Bought it used, about $2200 I believe. Less than half the price of a new Procharger.

Good advice. My next SUV will get a supercharger as soon as the warranty expires. 50k will take me about a year and a half. :-)

My real concern is do you get a lot more acceleration? I'm wondering because its such a heavy vehicle.

Acceleration is ridiculous. A 3-ton truck that runs mid-14s is pretty fast. Not unusual today, given all the high-performance SUVs on the market, but way faster than before.

Gears will also help with acceleration. I run 4.10s with street tires (285/60-18) and it's the second-best mod I did to my truck...right after the blower.
