Old sytle topper

I've been thinking about getting a topper for my '72 but I want a sytle that would look right for a '72 truck. Seems to me they made toppers out of wood frames and aluminum siding back then...if that right. Where would a guy find something like that? Has anybody out there built one? Pictures?

Thanks

Yeah, I had one of those and it su**ed big time, ompared to the newer ones. It was made of 2X2 or 3X3 square redwood stock and aluminum siding. Good luck if you want to make one, but why? Get a good all-metal topper instead. They look just like the old ones, except for the bubble windows some of them have, and the inside frame is made of aluminum...but you can't tell that from the outside of course. Just my .02 cents.
