been thinking about this for a while. i was going to Black out my bumpers but then i say the SuperDuty with the round fog lights right in the bumper cover now im thinking about just swaping the whole front end from the 01 to a 04 cause i love the clear headlights
any idea's on this Ford says the headlights wont fit the rad support isnt the same but they said it looks like that will fit on the 01 go figure and i know the grills are taller in the new trucks. Someone mentioned that there was a kit but i cant find it.

the 04 is the almost exactly the same as the 01, just different corner lights. you may be talking an 05/06 to an 01. 05 headlight mountings are different than older ones. you need the header panel for the lights to bolt up and the new grill to be able to fit in the bottom clips and of course the new bumper assembly.
my 01 has the jewel headlights from the factory and the amber marker lights. and yes they changed the marker lights in 04 to the jewel and amber markers. they did not change the headlights until they made them the 1 piece on the 05 model. and as far as the fogs, i never saw round lights. when i did the swap to the 06 super duty front end, they had the same lights as my 01 X. just that the brackets are a little different because of the mounting on the bumper.
see i learn something every day. i am trying to find a way to modify the 05-06 headlights to accept the 9007 headlight bulb. anyone know of such a thing???
