i have a 1977 ford F 250 4x4 which has a 300 inine 6 in with a 4 speed in it , i am going to keep the 4 speed in it , I am going to put a 460 in it when i find one but i need to know what i need to change out from the onld engine to the 460

what do i need for this swap i have the 460 allready and i have the stock 4 speed for 1977 truck for the siz cylider will 460 motor and my six cyineder 4 speed bolt to together , people have tould me they did and some people told me that i need a different trany so i dont know what right and wrong , and also will i have need differnt engine mounts

You need a donor 4x2 truck with a 460 a lots of money for incidentals to go into a 4x4 .
The 300 is so far removed from a minimal swap..... it's more extensive
Just look for any 460 swap threads on here for the 460 to 4x4 parts you will need.
