Strait Piped!

Well we decided the ol' 7.3 could use some more power, so we picked up 8 foot of 4 inch pipe at the local muffler shop. started right in front of the cat and went back to right behind the muffler. All I can say is wow!!!!! It soulds awesome and has noticibly more power, 2001 6spd 3.73 crew 4x2 by the way, Should I expect any milage gains with this also? If so how much?

Thanks

Probably not. You will likely be wearing the lead boots from now on like all the rest of us.

I myself is wonderin about bends or stright, i just did the muffler delete, but I would have prefered to run it from DP back, mine is 4 inch from muffler back and factory in font of muffler, the only reason i did'nt was because I did not know if straight would fit from factory DP or not

I notice a little gain on mpg but no much maybe an extra 20 miles per tank. while my friend amd i were waiting for our exhaust to get we took the muffler off and rest of the tail pipe off and made my own turn down with the old pipe it was loud as hell.

It is just a strait 4 inch pipe welded from right in front of where the cat used to be to right behind where the muffler used to be
