Question about plants

What would you do with plants etc. that you no longer want? I see so many plants that I want to buy when at the garden section, but I feel bad if I dig up and throw away a perfectly good plant. Just wondered if anybody else feels this way or if you don't care.

Donate the dug up ones to a school,zoo,actually any place that could use them.

Live in Phoenix, when it hits 120 F. they all die. except the ugly ones or the ones with stickers.

My wife thins her plants and gives them away to other aspiring gardeners or extends her existing gardens. Some plants grow like weeds which can be good in certain areas but they must be thinned and trashed in others.

Some towns have garden clubs. If your town has a weekly paper, the contact info is usually listed in there.
Also, a school might be a good place too.

A lot of places have a plant exchange where people can take their plants and some one else will take them. Check your community centre or some of the retailers who sell plants.

Go to FREECYCLE.ORG and register yourself. This way you post what you have and people will come get it. The kicker to that site is that everything has to be free.
