Falconman.com had scans of the original Ford Falcon and Econoline brochures from 60-65. One of the features of the Falcon that Ford stressed was its low operating costs, including 6000 miles oil and filter changes.
Thanks for the link. "MAGICAIRE HEATER $75.10" That car was really loaded!

YUP!! My Aunt & Uncle bought the car new, and I've had it since they passed away about 13 years ago....It's all original, inside and out....
never been restored at all. Here are a few pictures:
I too, say let the odometer keep track of the mileage.
On a brand new car, at 2K. Then 3K later. From that, every 5k. Tranny fluid @25K then every 50K, same with diff's and T-case.

Heres a thought, what if you got one of those filter relocation kits that holds 2 filters, and got 2 of those 10k mile filters, and some of that Extended performance mobil(?) oil thats good for 10k miles. Then how far would go between oil changes, 10k or 20k?
I change it on the manufactures recommended interval as printed in the owners manual. Or in the case of the Vette when ever the car tells me to or once a year, which ever comes first.
