I was glad when the jury chose life in prison for Moussaoui over the death penalty. His death would have made him a martyr and his place in 'heaven' assured.
Now he wants to take back his guilty plea? Huh. Life will be worse than death for this guy and it makes me smile. I'll gladly send some of my tax dollars just to know he will rot!
I wasn't aware there was a controversy on this subject. I hesitated bringing it up. Maybe I had a gut feeling?
Well, there's a lot of back and forth about whether he should spend life in prison or be executed. I see several people are already trying to get this thread moved.
a life sentence costs taxpayers almost 3 times the amount as the death penalty. i had to do a research paper on this, but sometimes i think that the costs are worth it

I've heard that under Islamic law he would not be considered a martyr unless he died in battle or in a suicide mission--execution at the hands of "infidels" does not count.
I agree that some of the text in this thread does not belong.
Put him in the deepest, darkest hole you can find, feed him intrevenously, and let "Big Bubba" have his way with him. Two years down the road, he'll be the prison tramp, shaving his body hair, and trading favors for cigs.
Life in max security is the best punishment for this would-be martyr. May he live a long miserable life.

Actually, I think general population would have been a better option. He either would have been killed rather quickly, or he would have been someones girlfriend
