When the California Supreme Court overturned the death penalty in '76 it automatically commuted a lot of death sentences, the "Manson Clan's" being an example. It has since been re- instated, but with the endless stream of appeals it takes forever for an execution to become a reality.
I am completely with 19704x4. She had no compassion for any of the victims at the time and the state should show her no mercy now. When she kicks it, then she can be let go. Born again or not, this lady was a menace and the family of the victims still bear the scars of her awful deed.
She can NOT be released by walking, or wheel chair. The ONLY way she can leave is when she assumes room temperature. Then she can leave the gates while inside a hearse!
When the sentence of death was given to these mindless slackers everyone thought it was a just and fair end for such a serious and incomprehensible crime. If a lawyer had stood up and argued to the judge that if in the future the sentenced was reduced to life, and if the defendent becomes ill and is given 6 months to live she should be set free..............he would have been Tar and Feathered...THEN disbarred
The only compassion involved is for the prison budget so they do not have to pay the costs for her last final, expensive, days on earth. They just do not want to foot the bill, as simple as that for these cases. They just do not want to foot the bill.
Besides the fact her victims would probably welcome the chance to be alive in prison then dead in the ground, they all committed multiple murders and are a great security risk as long as they breath. These rabid dogs should have been shot and toasted a long time ago.
