So I FINALLY had a day off work today but nothing to work on here at the house. Soooo I decided to plumb the nitrous in the intake. I'm ready for XTR3ME carnage! I'm still trying to decide where to put all the solenoids. I'm running out of room so I may mount them at the back of the intake and run hoses down the middle. There's 4 solenoids total, 2 per side.
i wonder whats going to give first....im thinking rear driveline or axle shaft...expecially if you try doing one of those donuts on the asphalt with 5 psi in the tires
Well the nitrous isn't what caused the other engine to die. The 'knock' had started long before I ever hit the nitrous. I just think bouncing off the rev limiter might have helped it along.
Well I finally got my forged crank. I tapped the freeze plugs in the block and did a few oil mods and then took it back to the machine shop with the crank and all that mess. He's got a ton of projects down there due to being into race season now so I'm not sure what the time frame will be. I think I'm gonna try to get the truck towed home so I can install it here. I'm hoping to have the engine together the beginning of June but at this point I'm not holding out too much hope. It took over 3 months just to get all the parts to show up.
ivan had a serious knock in the engine, i dont remember the cause though. i would like to comment on that run, he was the only thing that made it through it.
