That topic has been beat to death. Ill tell you what everyone else will say, try doing a search and read the threads. Thats prolly one of the things talked about the most in here. But anyway i couldnt help you i havent even gotten into that yet on my truck. What kind of sound do you consider the "best" sound. Some people just want it plain loud, some want a low rumble, see what i mean? I remember seeing a thread fairly recently that had a sound clip on it, theres a few actually but it might be hard to find them.

right now i am in the process of finding a good sounding exhaust. what i have done is i y'ed the two stock manifolds on my 93 together and ran 2.5" pipe straight out. no cats, no mufflers, no duals. it isn't toooooo loud. it honestly sounds like a nonturbo diesel tractor if that makes any sense. i like it but i want to take a little raspy noise out before i post in the 'official sound clip' thread, which i plan on doing by either buying a highflow cat or maybe, for fun, making a glasspack.

Try a hooker aero chamber muffler, Flows almost like a strait pipe, and is reportedly quieter than flowmasters, cherry bombs ect. A 2.5" is $59 from summit, Mine seems well built, But I have yet to get it put in.

It would be easer to tell you what to do if I knew what sound you want. I know ways to make a rumble, crackle, or a little of both. How loud do you want it? Does it matter if its legal? Do you wave polution checks? It all depeneds on what you want. post what sound you want and I can give you hints on what to do. What size pipe would work best and so on just need some info.
