maybe someone can anwser this i have a pink wire going from the ignition to the coil the wire is hot i tried using another does the same thing truck runs fine is the coil going or is it someting in the ignation.
That is the resistor wire for the coil. Its purpose is to reduce system 12V to about 6V to the coil and points, to prevent them from burning out at 12V.
It is normal for it to be very warm, but not normal to be too hot as to hurt.
It is possible that with running electronic ignition and/or the non-standard coil, that you have it hooked up incorrectly. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge on that coil can chime in.
What kind of electronic ignition are you using?
Did you use the correct voltages to the correct inputs?

so you think it may of burnt someting in the coil , i was doing some trouble shooting brnt a few fuses, temp & fuel gague max out fix all that , now try to see whats going on here its to hot to touch.
Which Blaster coil do you have?? Some of the Blaster coils(MSD) need the resistor wire, others do not. Double check the coil instructions to see if there is something else needed.
i went a head and bought a resistor and new coil, first installed the resistor with the blaster resistor started somking, disconnect everything. hook a new coil regular after market think this one will work he wire is not burning hot ( just warm) with no resistor.
i guess the blaster must of blasted? or would the constint power regulator not being grounded cause this problem?
