new 3 row rad. 160 thermostat, flex fan, and new hoses. running it hard or normal it never gets above 170 with the 160 thermostat in at an idle it does climb to 185-190, along way from the 220-240 it use to climb to. hope this is low enough to keep the carb from boiling over and flooding the engine.

The result of overheating is much more likely to be vapor lock, warped heads or hard starting than it is to be a flooded engine.
