I have a Jensen XA2125 and a solid box that is tuned to around 36htz and I am looking for a dual voice coil 12. The box has about 2.5 - 3 cubic feet of air space and my only two limitations are the mounting depth of under 6 inches and money. I can't afford to go crazy with the cash. I am looking for suggestions and anything is appreciated. Thanks.
Damn good hunting I might say. I just placed those on my store last night about 2:00 am. I dumped all the 05 Pioneer product and installed all the new 06 gear. Not too much has been changed with pioneer. They basically re-skinned the amplifiers and radios it seems and jumped thier numbers up one digit...lol Tonight I will be putting the mobile video product on there like the AVIC-Z1 and some other pieces they offer.
As for depth limitations there are quite a few subs that will get you into those requirements. I'll post a few tonight after dinner and some research. I looked up your amp and I see its bridged RMS output is rated at 350 watts so I'll post some models that will perform under those conditions. Also most 12 inch subs require a recommend airspace of 1.75 cuft. Are you sure of your airspace of your enclosure? Would you be able to post you measurements and I can tell you your exact airspace.

The airspace is an estimate. The box isn't exactly square. This is a link to a picture of the box before I put the top of it on. The top area of the picture actually comes back around just like the side with the sub and houses the port. I would have to go out an take measurements and it's late, who knows, I could be way off, but it is the full width of my cab, about 6 or 7 inches tall, and about 4 inches longer than my seat across the top. The whole thing is made out of 3/4 inch mdf.
isn't that true? I think the area that my year of truck has is less than the Chevy counterparts. I had to fabricate my own, but after it's all said and done, I was really happy about it. Check the gallery if you want to see. I mean, really. Check it out. Not kidding. Now.
my question to you before I give quite a few suggestions is I need to know your exact depth allowable. You need to factor into it having aleast a 1/4" vent space or more behind the magnet. Also how much room do you have for the excursion of the speaker? With the amount of airspace you have a high excursion subwoofer would work nicely but that all depends on the distance your speaker can move.
The advantage you will have with having that much airspace is that it will take less power to move the sub which will work nicely for that Jensen amp.
