cab & box change?
I am looking to change a cab & box from an 90 f150 (ext cab short box) to an 87 f250 (reg cab long box) . Is this exchange possible?

It will take a bit of work.
But I believe it is doable, if I remember correctly all the mounts are the same in the same spots.

You might want to ask in the 87/90 area of this website I'm sure someone in that chapter will know of any problems.

thanks, the mounts are what I was most worried about, but they can be moved if needed anyway.

I think the attachment points on the frames may be very different, also, the wheelbases (axle locations) may be very different between the two. Why do you need to switch?

the cab mounts on the reg cab are shot, I found a beautiful ext cab & box for a really good price so I was checking to see if it would work before I bought the truck
