Sponser's Inline advertisements

So what's the deal with Sierraben's 'Sponser's' inline advertisements listed in with the replies? Is this legal? Can I start advertising stuff that doesn't have anything to do with the original post?

The FTE staff does not take kindly to people advertising for personal gain on their website.

It's not him, it's FTE. It used to be only when not logged in or unregistered, but now it seems like non supporting, registered users get them too.
