Yet another axle code question

On my 83 f150 explorer 4x4 the axle codes on the sticker are H92. I looked around the site and found out that I think that I have a 3.55 traction lok rear and I think a 3.55 limited slip front axle. How rare is this if I am reading it right.

I think it's safe to say NOTHING is rare when it comes to F series trucks. They are the highest produced vehicle in the US. Something like 750,000 a year maybe. Thats a lot of rear ends, Jinserra.

what I meant by rare is that the front and rear axles are matching. not that a 3.55 rear end is rare.

A front LS is rare. I can't remember seeing one. If you really do have one, you should be able to jack up one front wheel with the hubs locked and not be able to spin the tire. If it does, it's open. Rear limited slips were very common.

I have been messing with 80-86 Ford trucks for 25 years. I have decoded hundreds of door tags.
I have only seen 1 with the LS front axle (Bronco) This truck also had a LS in the rear.
I have a F350 with Power Lock differentials both front and rear. (I installed) Tough to drive with the hubs locked in. Unstoppable in the snow!
Back in the 80's the service mgr. at a local Ford dealership told me that some customers had the front LSD's removed from their new vehicles because they were terrible to drive on the road in 4wd.

According to my '83 Ford shop manual H92 is rear limited slip (H9=3.55:1) and front limited slip (2).
