Programming Remote with Memory Seats

Remotes are unlocking the doors fine. Have the procedure for programming the remotes with the vehicle. Have the procedure for turning on and off the memory seat feature. That works.

What I don't see, or have figured out is how to program one remote for Memory Position #1, another one for Memory Position #2, and a third for Memory Position #3.

It seems that all the remotes are programmed for #2.

Anyone know how to take a remote and set it as Memory Position #1 for example? Reading in the factory owners manual, it is not there.

Thanks.

Well, I only have 2 memories in my 2000 EB, but I got the procedure out of the owner's manual. If I recall, it's kind of automatic. You have to have the seat memories programmed first, then the first remote you do goes with #1, the second with #2, and I think the remaining ones either go with #1 or go with neither. If I can remember, I'll check the manual tonite at home (not driving the Expy today) and get back to you. Although, if you have 3 memories, I am gathering your Expy is a 2003+ so what I have may not work for your truck.

I figured this out. For the memory positions. button 1 = memory 1, button2 = memory 2, buttons 1 and 2 at the same time is memory 3.

As for the remotes, Which ever one locks the door after memory 1 was used becomes the memory 1 remote. So which ever memory is currently used when the remote is used that is the one it will recall when the door unlocks. You could potentially have both remotes recall any of the 3 possible positions.
I know it sounds confusing, but think about it driver 1 uses memory 1 and locks the door with remote 1, driver 2 gets in and selects memory 3 and gets out and locks the door. Driver 1 comes up and unlocks the door with his remote and the memory will recall memory 1.

What year is the Expy?
My 2003 , the owner manual say that with the remote close to the memory button,
push the unlock on the remote , then within 5 seconds press the memory button you want to program for that remote.

AHAH! The owners manual and the factory service manual does not seem to say (or at least not in black and white easy to read terms...). Will try. Thanks a MILLION!
