Here's how. I tanked up with fuel from Woodmans and lost mileage instantly. Car felt less peppy too. Ran it dry and filled up somewhere else and it was better. Filled from Woodmans and it sucked again. Note, I ran the tanks almost dry.
Next, I added B100 to the tank and filled up with fuel. Calculated about a b20 mix and B40. Lost mileage. Filled up with regular and gained mileage. This keeps the diesel consistant.
B20 is 20% biodiesel and 80% fuel, right? What if your 80% was good diesel and the regular diesel wasn't as good? You would still get better mileage. In B20 the diesel could affect it. However, when you move from one station to the other, the diesel changes. So, if you had pure diesel that sucked and B20 with good diesel, you could get better mileage and think it was the B20 that helped.
