460 swap pulley problems
I am swapping a 460 out of a 74 tbird into a 77 f250 4x4 highboy.
I got a set of pulleys and brackets from a wrecking yard from a 79 F150 4X4 with a 460, alt., a/c and power steering. The only thing I didn't get was the crank pulley as I wasn't equiped to remove it. I have everything bolted up and machined .100" of of the balacer spacer to make the water pump and crank pulleys line up. Now the alt. water pump and crank pulleys line up, but the power steering and a/c do not. Are there a different set of water pump and crank pulleys that will work? Are the 460 water pumps all the same between 74 car and 79 truck? I know that the 74 is internally balanced and the 79 external.
