gear ratio formulas
what I would like to do is change the rear gears in my 92 ranger 4.0 5speed from the 3.27 to either 3.55 or 3.73. I also have a 91 explorer with the same drive train but with 3.55 gears. My ranger has 215/75 tires and the explorer has 235/75 tires. I want to figure out different tire sizes I could use to get an idea of what the different gear ratios would be like before I actually decide on a ratio. Thanks for any help.
