I have a 1998 F-150 4X4 with the 5.4L and 175,000 miles.
I replaced my instrument lights last night and the check engine light came on this morning. I guess the previous owner let it stay on until the bulb burned out!
On the OBDI trucks we could read the codes without a code reader using a paperclip and the check engine light. Is there a similar trick for this model?
If not then what is a good middle-of-the-road code reader?
