I have a 1998 F-150 5.4L 4X4 with 175,000 miles. The check engine light came on this morning. I borrowed a AutoXray 2000 from Oreilly's and pulled the trouble codes. The only one that I got was P1131- Heated O2 sensor switch (something or other)- left bank lean.
I read through some of the other posts and check the PCV valve vaccum hose. The hose was replaced last year (tag still on it). The other things mentioned were MAF sensor, exhaust leaks and such. I think that all of these would lead to both banks reading lean. Right? Then it should give two codes not just one.
