engine specs or id ?
I pulled a 390? out of a 1964 mercury marauder with less than 80000 original miles on it and bolted it into my 55 f-100 (hooked to a rebuilt c-6)Heres the #'s on the engine does anybody know any thing about it? intake c4se9425a engine blk 352 on drivers side front. heads 45 c4ae 6090 g dif the valve covers have 5 bolts any info would be great thanks

well its a FE, the intake is a standard 4bbl and the heads are pretty good, they are early large port heads, they dont have hardned valve seats though. the DIF stands for dearborn iron foundry. get the # 1 piston to TDC pull the plug and stick a dowl down the hole and mark it at the head, then pull the # 4 plug and stick the dowl down there and mark it. that will give you the stroke. 3.5 is a 352 and 3.78 is a 390. chances are it is a 390 but im just not sure if they put 352s in them. someone else will chime in with more info.

There were no 352s in any full size Mercs in 1964. There were 390s (2 different 2 barrel versions, premium and regular fuel) and a 4 barrel 300hp. Then 2 different 427s (a 4 barrel and a 8 barrel version), but no 352s at all.
