valve covers for 351?

valve covers for 351?
i am building a 351 efi for my 88 f150. i am using comp cams roller rockers, can i use the stock valve cover or do i need to with a tall aftermarket type set? and if i do will they fit with the stock efi intake?

Roller rockers will almost always cause an interference problem, usually with the baffle inside the valve cover. Tall valve covers solve the problem and should still clear with a truck intake. I used them with a stock Mustang intake and got my clearance back with a manifold spacer and by relocating the vacuum hose fitting on the bottom of the plenum to the back side.
Other possibilties are installing valve cover spacers (cost as much as new valve covers) and some folks have solved it the low-buck way by stacking an extra valve cover gasket under the cover.
