can i use an aftermarket tall valve cover on my efi 351w.. or do i have to get the truck valve covers?... im assuming i can buy tall baffled valve covers but i wanna make sure.. im wonderin gwhat ill have to do with the pcv and also the oil fill... im going to be running a trickflow r series intake with a spacer
like i said ill be running a spacer incase and already have a cowl hood so clearance isnt an issue... im just wonderin if ill have to re route the pcv valve.. and was also wondering about the oil fill

The PCV valve and "vent" are usually on opposite sides of the engine. The photo I posted shows the PCV on the driver's side front valve cover. If it were mine I would put it back in the factory location of the passenger side valve cover near the rear. The oil fill on the factory engine doubles as the "vent" location. There should be an extender piece for the cap and a nipple with a hose leading to the airbox to draw in fresh air.
You could use a vented fill cap if you are running a Speed Density system. If you are planning on running Mass Airflow (MAF) you need to run the "vent" hose to the air intake after the MAF meter. Otherwise you will have unmetered air running into the engine, it will cause problems.
yes the pcv will b on the passanger side and yes im running mass air.. is there a way to run a vent line to the driver side .. all the tall baffled valve covers only have a hole for the fill cap
i know what you are talking about but those are stock height valve covers.. i need tall ones and if u search them all they have is a hole in the top of the cover for the oil cap
