Power lock problems, Help!

I have a 1998 Explorer EB, when I pressed the keyless twice to unlock all the doors the door locks instead began to try to lock themselves over and over again and would not stop. I had to remove the fuse for the power door locks to get it to stop. Has anyone had this problem? if so is there a do it yourself fix? Am I simply looking at a faulty solanoid or something?

you use the remote, have you tried using the locks on the doors. I would start by disconnecting the rear hatch power lock switch on the side. see if that is acting up just because its in a vulnerable area and easiest to get at. then if that doesnt work try disconnecting either front door switch and so on so forth until you find the faulty switch if you understand what i mean.

When I tried to use the unlock on the drivers door it also began trying to lock ALL of the doors. There must be a module to control unlocking all the doors.

When I removed the rear hatch door lock switch and then put the fuse back in the power locks began working. The problem was with that switch. Thanks for your help.
