Here's another update.
I put the 302 and AOD in the frame. Put in the driveshaft and it was good then bolted the frame together GOOD. I hope to get a local welder to come out and weld the frame together as my dad can't weld vertical welds to good. So now I can start to put on the body mounts. I need truck motor mounts as I have car mounts which don't work as good. Before I put the body on, I'm going to replace all the bushings in the front suspension.
It`s good that you are keeping us updated, nice to see your progress. Once my spring rush is over with the Bobcat I hope to have some time to work on the 56 M100 and the 53 F350.
I plan on getting alot done this next week as I don't have to go back to work until thursday. If it starts to rain, I'll roll it into the garage to keep working.
Yesterday I bought 2 cans of gloss black tremclad and a wire brush you mount in an angle grinder. I'm going to give the frame a good brush then paint it.

Maybe would it be worth powder coating, that's the new craze.
This a low buget build. Power coating would be nice but I would have to disassemble the entire frame, sandblast and then haul it an hour to a place to get it coated them bring it back home, assemble and hope I don't chip the paint.
