I've heard guys say that they get better gas mileage out of a 4bl carb. The reasoning they give is that it feeds the engine better and they don't have to give it as much gas to get power so less is wastes gasing it or getting into the good power range. Anyone have any insite on that?
Don't forget to add in all the other costs associated with driving a vehicle. A newer truck will cost you more in tags(my state), more in insurance, and maybe a monthly payment. I saved a lot by driving an old truck.
When I figured the gas mileage on my other truck,I had to adjust it upwards because of the bigger tires. If you are getting 8 mpg on 35s, you might actually be getting a bit more. Just a point of interest.

Is that only if you haven't adjusted your speedometer gear to the correct ratio for that size tire?
