302 Intake Bolt Torque
What is the recommended torque for the intake manifold bolts for a 4-bbl mid 90's 302. The engine is in a boat.
Also, is the torque pattern the same for a 2-bbl intake as well as a 4-bbl intake for the 302?
Thanks,
Chris

Whether you have the 2bbl. or 4 bbl. manifold, it's the same torque setting and tightening sequence.
Tighten them in two steps, first go 15-17 ft.lbs and then 23-25 ft. lbs, then recheck.
Do you run this on Shasta or Whiskeytown? (I used to live in French Gulch.)

I run alumimun heads they are 16-18 foot pounds. After you warm it up retorque. same for the exhaust.
Pattern stays the same.
