it can be done but i dont think i would trust the joints at that angle! an EB is just way too short!
as far as gear ratios it all depends on your tranny, t-case, tire size, and intended purpose. however foe arguments sake i will venture out and say those 4.11's would be fine! do you feel you have plenty of low end grunt or do you wish you had more of a highway speed friendly gear?

Hey Boba Fett, all driveshafts have universal joints on them, I think your thinking of a CV joint. I have 5.5" lift, it has new driveshafts front and rear with cv's, i believe the shafts have been lenghtened. The front driveshafts angle is pretty bad and i am suprised i havent busted a u joint yet, but the rear angle is pretty good

Stock type (with CV joints) extended drivelines will work just fine with 5.5" lift. You will probably need to install tapered blocks or wedges on the rear springs to tilt the rearend to minimize the angle in the rear. With 7 deg caster bushings in the front, the angles should be fine.
