Checked with my local dealer, as I'm thinking of getting rid of my '06 PSD for a V10.
He stated that Ford will not produce V10's for California. Seems that Ford can't meet the EPA milage regulations becuase of the V10 MPG. So, what does this mean, F250-350, 5.4 or PSD only..
It is also my understanding that those EPA rating only apply to less than 10,000lbs. So, the F350 should still be available with the V10 for 2007. Check with your local dealer about it.

However, the rumored 6.2 Hurricane V8 project seems to have been revived. Theres a thread on it either in the V10 forum or the New ford truck buyer forum.
There are a few threads that deal with this at length on the V10 board. The V10 will be available on the F350 in Ca/NY, but later in the model year (July is the target date). It will not surface in the F250 in those states, or at least that's what it looks like at this time.
Interestingly enough, GM's 8.1 has the same late production date, so it'll be interesting to find out what the reason for the delays are.
Mike, I've had several oil leaks in my PSD. Do I like the truck, you bet I do... But considering the costs associated with future shop time, not maintenance costs, I'm thinking the PSD will be costly engine to get worked on.
I'm waiting to see how the trucks runs, if any additioinal leaks pop up, etc.. I'm not ready to make the jump just yet..
