I wanted to share this with everybody but I can't post attachments. I mounted my two guages IN the panel, one on either side of steering column just below the instrument cluster.
Was'nt difficult at all, just did some careful measuring and went to work with a roto-zip. It would'nt be for everybody, auto-trans shifter would block the view of the one on the right

I think it would look close to something like this.... the one on the left of the pic is to the right of the steering column, left of the steering column looked a little 'crowded' behind the dash panel on my truck. Brake controller in mounted in the dash cubby hole.

Yes, thats what I'm talking about. The crowded area you mentioned to the left of the column behind the dash panel is easly removed with the roto-zip. My guages are more centered in those areas.

I put mine a little lower than center so when the gear shift column was in drive I have perfect vision thru the steering wheel to my pyrometer with no obstructions.
