I'm supposed to be buying a rebuilt FE 360 engine this Saturday, but I can't figure out if my truck has an FE engine in it or an FT!
The truck is a 1976 Ford F-150 with a 360 CID engine, but I can't find anythin that says whether it's FE or FT. The little engine tag I can't find, I think it may have been removed at some point. The emissions control tag is fine, does that say? I didn't see it on there.
Anyways, I need to know ASAP how to tell if this engine is FT or FE, because the engine I'm buying is an FE and I'm afraid it won't fit.
The FT only came in the dump trucks, school buses, etc. The engine that is in the f150 will be an fe unless someone switched them out some time in the past which is highly unlikely.
I know for sure the engine hasn't been swapped because this was purchased new from the stealership by my grandpa in 1976, then given to my dad, and now he gave it to me.
