Seat Belt Buzzer

You could just disconnect the wiring harness going to the seat belt on the drivers side. It has been reported that the owners manual instructions arent the right ones. I know that on my 05, the manual says to perform a step 9 times, when in fact 10 worked for me. Im sure another user will be along to add more information, but unplugging the harness is guaranteed to work.

Hrmm, I did not look in the manual for the process but searched on here. I followed the steps per FTE and the light still works but the anoying little buzzer is gone. It was pretty easy but I do not remember the exacts. Something liek within 15 seconds of putting the key in buckle and unbuckle 8 times, wait 3 secoinds, a light will flash then buckle and unbuckle one more time to toggle the on/off status.
Long story short, do a search in the Super Duty forums and it will work for you... well it did for my '05.

I believe this is called the belt minder system. It can be disabled by following the steps in the manual. I did this in my wifes taurus and it worked. You still get the light and sound indications when you first start the car but it eliminates the warnings that occur afterwards. In my superduty I unpluged the harness under the driver's seat and there are no warnings at all.

yes, it should. a long time ago back in middle school i remember an accident protection and awareness day. the guy showed how the ballistic locker worked. there is a mechanism with a pendulum-shaped lever that moves fore and aft under acceleration and braking. when the pendulum swings forward enough (due to enough negative G's) it will lock the belt. i believe it is all mechanical and not electronic. my 2006 seems over-reactive, because it even locks up when hitting bumps with a trailer in tow.

For me, I worry about the liability of doing that. Better to be safe than sorry.
Your mileage may very.
