Could someone tell me where I can get a set of coil springs for a 72 f-250 camper special with a GVW of 7500lbs or more? I tried installing a set for a GVW rating of 6900lbs but they were 2" shorter than my stock springs that came out of it. I dont want to lift it I just want my stock ride height back. 1972 f-250 camper special with overload spring installed from the factory, 390C.I.D, C-6 tranny, power front disc brakes, power steering. thanks for the help... Mike.
When I was re-doing my truck I bought some variable rate springs from Springs Industry here in Charlotte N.C. He had all kinds of springs. He mainly worked on heavy equiptment, tractor-trailers and such but he had some for my F100. Might want to look in the yellow pages in your area and check with some local spring shops or truck equiptment dealers.
Hope this helps.

thanks for the tip. I have checked with one specialty spring place here but they want almost $200.00 for the pair. I guess I was hopeing to find some a little cheaper but if I cant I guess thats what I'll have to do. By the way how do you like the comp cam you got?
I think I still have some fine tuning to do on it to realize the full potential. It pulls pretty good but it's not as low rpm as they advertised, pulls good at lower rpm but really starts to make power at 1500 and up. I need to open up my exhaust and get my timing curve straightened out then I think I'll really be happey with it.
Good luck on the springs, it seems like mine were about $125 for 2.
